Latest Projects: From Marine Debris
I spent a beautiful two weeks in residency on Vashon Island, Washington. Here I made art entirely from what I picked up on the beach on my daily walks. I found rusted metal, wood debris, shells, crab claws, but primarily plastic trash, including: 25 BIC lighters, countless bottle lids, 8 tennis balls, and 93 bullet casings. Are you a beach comber? This flyer shows what I can use for arts sake.

I like the impressionist feel these pieces have. They are collaged from already-dried paint, the kind I peel of my paint palettes every day (in the first image), which I sort and adhere to boards. These pieces get me closer to a zero-waste studio.
