The eyes of All

Acrylic paint on steel-plated wall, 14' x 46'
Designed by Antwoine Thomas, 2012
162nd and SE Stark Street, Portland, OR
Commissioned by the Rosewood Initiative

I was the painter and consulting muralist for this community project. Designed by Sharpie artist Antwoine Thomas to portray the growing Rosewood community, the mural was produced in conjunction with The Rosewood Initiative and funded by the Regional Arts and Culture Council and SE Graffiti Abatement. Because of the complex and graphic nature of Antwoine's design, we projected the mural onto the wall at night, outlined it in Sharpie, and painted in with the help of 100+ community volunteers. See time-lapse video at right.
